Sadly the Christmas Crafternoon scheduled to take place this Saturday 17th December in Islington has been cancelled by the organisers due to problems with the venue. This was to be the last craft fair for me this year and I am sorry to have missed it.
Obviously a last minute cancellation means there are still some festive goodies on offer. . Any unsold seasonally restricted goodies - particularly treat bags containing edibles and 2012 calendars - will be donated to local community groups next week.
I am just finishing the last of the orders for this year and then it will be time to pack up the Santa's, reindeer and snowmen until next year...
I have great plans for some new lines for the New Year...in the meantime Thanks to all my lovely customers - it has been a pleasure making special projects for you. I wish you all a Very Merry, Happy Everything...and a Happy and Healthy New Year.
Take care
Cxx

THE ad is live so it can only mean one thing...
The holidays are coming....I have just made my final craft fair booking of the season...another Christmas Crafternoon, this time to be held at St Mary’s Community Partnership
in Upper Street Islington on 17th December...it should be a fabulous end to the craft fair season.
It has dawned on me that I need to get a wriggle on with my own Xmas shopping. I did manage to pick up a few gifts in the USA in October, but I really wanted to try to buy handmade this year... With this in mind I turned to my fellow crafts people at the Crafts Forum and in particular my friend Anna who does the most wonderful things with Fimo. I got some really cute things... a pair of crumpet earrings that look good enough to eat
a pendant teeny jar of peace, love and calm
and this amazing steampunk pendant....
so if you are looking for sweet little gifts please do check out the fabulous creations by Anna at Sweet Fimo Heaven ... you won't be sorry.

Clearing the decks
The Christmas Crafternoon on Saturday was lovely - HUGE Thanks to all involved and to all the lovely customers who came through the doors.
A few more craft fairs coming up between now and the festive season.
Prelim dates :
Sunday 27 November at The Horatio on Holloway Road
Saturday 3 December at the Wish Em Well charity fair event in Romford
Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th December the Festival event at The Assembly Rooms in Stoke Newington Church Street
Saturday 17 December another Christmas Crafternoon in Islington - details to be confirmed
I have a busy couple of weeks ahead. This week has been spent on making up orders and I have had a great time making a variety of birthday cards, which come as light relief amid all the Santas, reindeer, snowmen and of course all the glitter that goes with seasonal crafting.
I also recently made a fun card for an 80's themed hen party with a purple colour scheme.
As well as one for the boys with this vintage style 3D birthday card
I am currently working on pre-orders for Christmas cards this week too and there is still time to get an order in for a special card for the special people in your life.....and I do like a challenge so don't be shy if you have an idea you'd like to see on a card you send just let me know.
This year I also have a range of treats and stocking fillers, tree gifts and table favours..not forgetting those festive bags of reindeer poop and snowman poop too...no Christmas will be complete without a bag of Reindeer poop!
On a practical note... Please note that the last long distance posting dates:
Australia and NZ 4th December
USA & Canada 9th December
after that date there are no guarantees that goods will reach there in time for Christmas.

Festive preparation begins
And now for something different...
It is always a challenge trying to please everyone with festive offerings...especially who are not quite as filled to the brim with joy and so perhaps the fabulous and quirky images from the pen of Lily Chilvers will fit the bill this year.
Despite the glittery stickles, this is definitely a non traditional card which I hope will appeal to a slightly neglected corner of the market.
And as a kind of counterbalance to the above, there is this quirky little elf bringing gifts and love for the festive season.
This is just a little sneak preview of a couple of things that will be available for this year...There is lots more variety to follow...Watch this space, as they say

October Update
For once I can say hand on heart that the lack of posts recently is not because I have been neglecting this blog, but rather because I have been on my travels...a beautifully mixed trip visiting old friends and gathering new crafting supplies in the good old US of A!
I do love shopping for goodies and ideas in the States - the ranges of products are far more extensive and they are often at least one step ahead of the UK in craft releases....and of course thee are bargains to be had - although the exchange rate was not all that kind this trip. I have yet to unpack all my new materials but over the next few days I hope to find a place for everything and then I can start using it - which is clearly the fun part.
The past 48 hours has been spent fulfilling orders made before I left and it is now becoming time to turn thoughts to things festive. I have been taking orders for Christmas cards for some time now but they are coming in thick and fast and my order book is becoming delightfully full.
I have two craft fairs booked for next month and two for December - details will follow shortly. But for now let me close this post with a sneak peak at one of the cards I did today.

Quick update
Apologies for the criminal blog neglect of late. It has been a very busy crossover period, affected by life events beyond any reasonable control...but things are starting to settle, dates for upcoming craft fairs and events are being confirmed and new stock lines are in production...so all is rosy once more.
There will some sneak peeks of new lines in the next week or so, but until then, here are a couple of more recent makes.

Framed
I always find it hard to turn my attention to things Christmassy when everyone else is still thinking about their upcoming summer holidays, but this year a combination of a regional Stampin Up! training day (which was such fun and there will be more about that soon) and the great British summer weather (has not stopped raining for days now) have really helped me get started.
Anyhow as things may seem a but slow after the daily posts during the 30 days of creativity, I thought I would share what I was doing last evening. I
This framed 3D scene is all made from paper and card (including the frame). This project comes in a variety of sizes and options... for cards there is an option of either A5 or A4 sizes, and as framed hangings there are two sizes 7"x6" frame and a 10" x9.5" frame (these are individually hand-crafted and so of course the sizes are approximate). There are a number of schemes and styles to choose from and these will be a limited run for this year.

Aaargh.....Pirates
I have been holding off from posting these so that the little pirate (or his Mummy/Daddy) wouldn't see them on the web before his big day...but I had such fun making pirate cards and eye patches for Kris' birthday.
Above is the front of his card and to the right is the inside.
His pirate party was a huge success
Happy Birthday Cap'n Kris

30days of creativity - day27
My goodness the month has flown by...day 27 already and I have managed to keep up. I have impressed even myself!
Today's offering is this pair (brace?) of humorous cards featuring the cute owl from Stampin' Up!
In case its not too clear on the photo (the cards were already in polybags waiting to be despatched when I remembered to get pics) the sentiment reads If at first you DO succeed, try not to look astonished.

30 days of creativity ~ Day14
Perhaps this really belongs on day 19 (which is Father's Day this year) but this needs to go in the post and so day 14 is an owl in a tree - a Hoot and a Holler for Father's Day.
For this project:
Owl stamp and punches are from Stampin'Up!
Embossing folders and distress inks from the Tim Holtz range.
Don;t forgot to pop across to createstuff on Pinterest to check out what other people are creating this summer.

30 days - day 12
An old favourite - a joke from my childhood
Q:What is black and white and red (read) all over?
A: A newspaper ha ha ha ...
Okay so I admit its maybe not so funny now, but it was the basic inspiration point for today's bookmark and my pin at createstuff for 30 days of creativity day 12.
Creativity continues
The days are slipping by and already we are well into June and the 30 days of creativity project. I have been uploading each days project to the createstuff board over at Pinterest and my daily makes can be found here.
So far I have made a selection of cards, gift tags, treat bags and melted ribbon flowers
There are a lot of fabulous projects on the main createstuff board and it is well worth a look.

2011
Happy New Year to all.
In our household we are recovering from an encounter with this little piggy flu, and so 2011 started with a whimper rather than an impressive pyrotechnic display...BUT things are slowly getting back to normal and orders were fulfilled and smiles sent as promised.
So what's new for 2011?
January is our time to regroup, to make stock (for the February events) and to plan ahead. We hope to expand the range of paper goodness on offer and are looking to new styles and techniques and new products coming onto the market.
The general plan for January is to make at least one new thing every day for the rest of the month....We will post some pictures so please pop back and see what we've been up to in our crafty creative space.
Our next main event will be the Artisans Art & Craft Market at St Albans Town Hall on Saturday 12 February - hope to see you there. Please do stop by and say hello.
